침례교 역사(2)_18세기 영적 대부흥

18세기에 영국에서 일어난, 영적 대부흥 운동은, 장로교, 감리교, 침례교등 주요 개신교단들이 탄생한 배경이 되었다.
특히 영적 대각성 운동의 결과로, ‘Evangelicalism(복음주의)'이란 귀한 영적 열매을 맺게 되었다. 복음주의의 특징*은 다음과 같다.
(1) Conversionism: attention to the immediate need for conversion
(2) Activism: dedication to the mission of taking the Gospel to people
(3) Biblicism: the belief that all God’s truth is found in the Bible
(4) Crucicentrism: emphasis on Christ’s crucifixion as a mean of divine reconciliation
